Perfect Ash has been a part of the Twin Cities cigar lounge landscape for 50 years come 2023. Established in 1973 as “The Smoke Shop” in the iconic Diamond Jim’s mall in Lilydale and continuing through ownership and name changes, one thing has remained constant, the Ash is home to outstanding premium cigars and pipe tobacco products and fantastically wonderful people!
Perfect Ash moved into their new digs in Inver Grove Heights in 2019 (the story of the move is a long one, better suited for the telling when you come in for a smoke and a chat!)
In 2021 Pat O’Brien bought the Ash and has not been shy about filling the humidor with a blend of old favorites such as Arturo Fuente and Montecristo, as well as many new premium offerings from the likes of Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust, Placencia, Adventura and many more.
Through all the years and all the cigars, one thing hasn’t changed, and that is you truly are “only a stranger once” at Perfect Ash.

Welcome to the all-new Perfect Ash Cigar Lounge. My name is Patrick O’Brien, your Host, and Owner. It is my goal and hope that Perfect Ash becomes a destination for fine people to come and gather to relax, have fun and enjoy a wide variety of fine cigars, fine friendships, and great conversations. I am working hard to make sure that the humidor is fully stocked with a wide range of cigars that can appeal to a wide range of tastes as well as budgets, and remains that way.
